The Learning Revolution Trust plans to support learners to stay in further and higher education by means of providing financial support to meet the cost of what can be seen as basic needs. The learners we support experience high levels of deprivation and social barriers, which inhibit their ability to self resource aspects of their education. Our primary groups are described below:

Care Leavers Further Education Support Award:

The Learning Revolution Trust is funding these awards for young people between the age of 16 and 19 who are in or have recently left care to support their continued participation in education and training when they might otherwise be prevented from doing so due to hardship or lack of family support. The Learning Revolution Trust Care Leavers awards are worth up to £1,000 each.

Adult Learners Further Education Support Awards:

The Learning Revolution Trust is funding these awards for adults over the age of 19 to support their continued participation in education and training when they might otherwise be prevented from doing so due to due to hardship or lack of family support. These learners must be ineligible for government funded Further Education hardship support funds and be able to demonstrate high costs associated with studying the course and financial hardship.The Learning Revolution Adult Learner awards are worth up to £750 each.

Higher Education Support Award:

The Learning Revolution Trust is funding these awards to support the continued participation of adult learners (aged 19 or over) studying a degree at NUC, who are ineligible for support through the Student Loan Company and who would be prevented from studying for a degree due to hardship or lack of family support. The Learning Revolution Trust Higher Education awards are worth up to £1,500 each.

Sports Award:

The Learning Revolution Trust is funding these awards for learners to support their continued participation in high performance sports training whilst they undertake a course at College or university when they might otherwise be prevented from doing so due to hardship or lack of family support.
